These Few Rainy Weeks | Life Update

It's been a while since I updated this blog so I thought I would go ahead and make a 'Life Update' post. Not much has really been going on lately other than trying to complete papers and group projects/presentations for schools. Other than that I'm finally glad that it's now Spring Break and I
can finally relax a little until school starts again. Practically the entire month of February we have had the best weather that I have ever witnessed in Texas! Unfortunately, once March came around it has constantly been humid, rainy, sunny, cloudy, hot, and cold all at once. Due to this crazy weather I've mostly just headed straight to school and then straight back home to stay indoors.

Throughout these few rainy weeks, I was able to catch up on quite a bit of reading that helped keep my mind busy. The Book that I'm currently reading is called The Girl Under The Olive Tree by Leah Fleming. I found this book interesting as it takes place during World War II and the present day. It's about a girl named Penelope (Penny) George, who comes from a family of wealth where her mother is only interested in marrying her off rather than Penny getting a education that she desperately wants. She finally gets a chance to escape London and travels to Greece working as a Red Cross Nurse. The entire book goes back and forth between Penny as an older woman returning to Greece and reliving her journey through her memories as a younger Penny. I'm only half way into the book so I can't provide any more information about the book not to mention I take the award for the person who gives the worst explanations in the world. The book is interesting, so I recommend that if you're into some war fiction that has a love interest in it, then you should check out more of this book as I think you will also like it.

Even though I love to read I do get a little bored of it from time to time. So the rest of my time indoors was spent catching up on life with my best friend, homework, studying, Netflix, and of course this little book I found at a bookstore about a month ago. It's a book to keep your mind busy during rainy days with over 150 puzzles. I have to say this book is absolutely adorable and you can definitely pass some time with this. I have to admit that I'm not a fan of the adult coloring books, since I have never liked to color even when I was little and I know there's one other person out there in the world who is just like this too, so I recommend you try this book out instead. It's called Rainy Day Puzzles with illustrations from Bonnie Marcus Collection.

Apart from these books, I also bought Florence & The Machine tickets since she's coming on her U.S/Canada tour soon. The concert is in May (close to my birthday) and I cannot wait for it! I'm pretty excited and I will definitely blog about it when the time comes. For the rest of the week, I plan on catching up with some friends since college has separated us and tonight my best friend and I are going to the movies. I'll try to keep updating this blog as often as I can so for now, thanks for reading!
